Leg or arm pain from a lack of blood flow to the muscles. Usually starts during exercise and ends with rest. Often due to peripheral artery disease.

Follow a heart-healthy lifestyle to help prevent claudication. Eat a healthy diet, get regular exercise, don't smoke and limit alcohol. Control blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol.

- Legs or arms feel numb.
- Skin changes color.
- Sores don't heal.
