Overview
Keratitis is inflammation of the clear, dome-shaped tissue that covers the eye (cornea). It's caused by infection, injury, wearing contact lenses too long, or some diseases.
Symptoms
Eye redness, pain, irritation, and blurred or decreased vision are symptoms.
Treatments
Prompt medical attention is needed to avoid loss of vision. Treatment may include medications, including antibiotics or antifungal drugs.
